Chiropractor Colorado Springs CO Kent Daavettila

Chiropractor

Kent Daavettila D.C, BCN

Dr. Kent grew up in a family of ten in Michigan. From an early age, he was interested in health and the human body; and an avid hockey player throughout his life. His father and older brothers were engineers, and given the strong family traditions, it was only natural for him to attend Michigan Technological University to pursue a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Which combined the two interests. While in undergraduate studies, he met his wife Kathleen and was introduced to principled chiropractic. He started receiving chiropractic care from Kathleen's family members, who were Chiropractors, for his chronic low back pain from years of playing hockey. He experienced enormous relief not only from back pain but his chronic allergies also improved as a side effect! This peaked his interest to learn about the body's ability to heal from the inside-out when free from interference, rather than from the outside, in the form of medications and surgeries.

The human body will forever be the gold standard of engineering and will never be matched. This is what lead him to become a Doctor of Chiropractic and now as a "spinal engineer". It is his mission to help people realize their God-given health potential through specific, scientific, chiropractic care.

I am excited to serve this amazing community alongside my husband, Dr. Kent. Together, we have experienced firsthand the benefits of Principled Chiropractic in our lives and our children's lives. We look forward to meeting you and your family! I was raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the second youngest of nine children.

I had my first chiropractic adjustment as a child and am grateful my parents and siblings instilled in me from a young age the body’s ability to heal. As a collegiate athlete, I experienced many volleyball injuries and noticed how quickly my body bounced back with regular, chiropractic care. While the culture within my athletic community consisted of controlling pain and symptoms with shots and painkillers, I knew the benefit of supporting my body and nervous system with regular, specific chiropractic would actually correct the problem, not mask it. I've continued with wellness adjustments my entire life, throughout my two pregnancies, labors, and then experiencing natural, non-medicated births with my daughters. The power that made the body, heals the body, it happens no other way. My hope is that all people can experience their God-given health potentials, beginning at the birth process.

Chiropractic Colorado Springs CO Dr Grace Gilbreath

Chiropractor | Perinatal Certified

Grace Gilbreath DC, MA, BS

Dr. Grace Gilbreath was born into a military family, which consisted of moving around a lot, but she considers Alabama home. She graduated in with her undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University with a BS in Exercise Science. She then went on to receive her Master’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University with a MA in Health Promotion and Exercise Physiology.

Because of her extensive background as a competitive and college athlete, she wanted to pursue a career in that field. At the very end of her Master’s degree, she started having back and neck pain from studying long hours for board exams. She went to a local chiropractor and knew instantly that this was the profession she was called to serve. She found through further research that chiropractic lines up with the ideal of healing the body through natural and holistic ways. Further, when given the right environment to heal and with no interference, the body can heal from the inside out and not the outside in without the use of drugs or surgery. After her master’s graduation, she moved to Marietta, Georgia to attend chiropractic school at Life University.

Her main focus of adjusting is using Torque Release Technique. This also sparked her interest with working with expecting mothers and babies. She went on to get certified in the Webster Technique through the ICPA. This technique allows Dr. Grace to specialize in working with pregnant mothers to help reduce the effects of dysfunction on the pelvis due to pregnancy. She is also advanced perinatal certified through the ICPA. This gives her even more insight into helping pregnant mothers through and post-birth. She is now currently working towards her diplomate in pregnancy and pediatrics through the ICPA. This will give even more educational and clinical experience to further expand the chiropractic family lifestyle within the Colorado Springs community.

She is very excited about the opportunity to be a part of such an awesome community in Colorado Springs and further Etio’s mission of helping and healing holistically through specific chiropractic care. In her free time, Dr. Grace enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and playing soccer.

Chiropractor Colorado Springs CO Laura Bonin Meet The Team

Chiropractor

Laura Bonin DC, BS

Dr. Laura Bonin was born into a soccer family in Indiana. Soccer eventually took her to North Carolina where she graduated with her undergraduate degree from Barton College with a BS in Exercise Science.

During her time playing soccer and lacrosse, she received a few different injuries, for which she was taking a “cocktail” of over-the-counter drugs before every practice and game. After doing that for a season, she was recommended to see a chiropractor in the area to help with her knee and low back pain. She then started chiropractic care and after a few weeks, she started experiencing healing. After understanding what chiropractic truly is, she knew that chiropractic was the profession for her. She found that if the body is provided with the right environment, free of interference, the body can heal from the inside out. After graduating with her bachelor's she then decided to continue her education and moved to Marietta, GA to attend chiropractic school at Life University.

Her main focus on adjusting is using the Torque Release Technique. This also sparked her interest in working with expecting mothers and babies. She went on to get specialized training in Webster Technique and Fertility. This technique allows Dr. Laura to specialize in working with pregnant mothers to help reduce the effects of dysfunction on the pelvis due to pregnancy.

Dr. Laura is very excited about the opportunity to be a part of this amazing community in
